How Referrals Work
Each stage is clear and recorded, so you know where your patient is at any point.
You Refer
Use the form below or email us, attaching any radiographs and clinical notes you have.
We Confirm and Contact Your Patient
We let you know the referral has arrived, then get in touch with your patient to book a consultation.
A Report After Consultation
We send you our findings and the treatment we propose.
Treatment and Return
You hear from us as treatment progresses, then get a discharge letter as your patient comes back to you for routine treatment.
What You Can Refer For
We deal only with the problem you refer, unless you ask us to do more.
Who You'll Be Referring To
Pick a clinician on the form, or let us decide who is best placed to see your patient.
Imaging Referrals
For dentists and other clinicians who refer.
Send a Referral
Once we've confirmed the referral has arrived, we'll contact your patient to book a consultation. If it's urgent, phone 0131 332 3971 and ask to speak to the treating clinician.
Would you rather email? Open a referral email, which lays out the details we need, attach your radiographs and send it to info@comelybankdental.co.uk.
Refer Yourself
Any consultation can be booked directly, whether online, by phone or through WhatsApp. You don't have to see your own dentist beforehand.
X-ray imaging, CT scans included, is the only exception. Under UK radiation regulations, a clinician must judge that a scan is necessary. Your dentist can refer you, or you can book a consultation with us and we'll discuss it.
