Dental Implant Consultation in Edinburgh: Your First Visit Is Free

At our Comely Bank practice, Dr Davinder Kalsi examines your mouth, takes a CT scan here if you need one, and talks you through every option. You take home a written plan with a fixed fee. There's no pressure, and no obligation to go ahead.

The consultation is free, and the £40 deposit is returned within 7 days once you've attended. A CT scan, where needed, is £160; full-arch fees already include it.

What Happens

It's mostly a conversation, and you can bring a friend or relative along.

1

Your Story

We start with what's troubling you, what you'd like to change, and the parts of your medical history that matter, such as medicines, diabetes or smoking. None of these alone rules implants out.

2

Examination

We examine the gap, the neighbouring teeth, your gums and how you bite, taking photographs so you can see what we're describing.

3

CT Scan, If You Need One

It takes a few seconds on the practice's CT scanner and shows the height and width of your bone, and the position of the nerve and sinus. The scan is £160, and it belongs to you afterwards.

4

The Options

An implant, a bridge, a denture, or leaving things for now. You'll hear which we'd pick and why, plus what each involves and costs. If an implant isn't right for you, we'll say so.

5

Your Written Plan

It sets out the treatment we recommend, the full fee, what that covers and the timescale. Take it home and think it over. Once you decide, the fee stays as written.

Been Told You Can't Have Implants?

Second opinions are also free. Several reasons people are refused implants elsewhere can be worked around with planning.

Too little bone: the CT scan shows precisely what you have, and a graft or angled implants often get round it
Gum disease: we treat it first, then look at implants again
Diabetes or another medical condition: generally manageable when well controlled and carefully planned
An implant that failed elsewhere: we find out why before recommending anything
Work done abroad that went wrong: we'll examine it and explain what can be done
